Audience Persona
I was given the opportunity to create a target audience persona for the fictional company, WarmChills. For this assignment, I created the ideal consumer for the new product of microwaveable ice cream. I used the PESO model and my own basic research principles to describe the perfect audience persona and identify media and distribution channels.
PESO Model & Writing Style
For my PR class, I was given the opportunity to to pretend a company has hired me to develop a messaging strategy for WarmChills that supports their innovation. Maximizing the paid, earned, shared and owned channels of the PESO model requires a unique message that can resonate across channels with a target audience. To make WarmChills messaging resonate, I analyzed the PESO model to craft an essential message to keep the audience intrigued.
Coca-Cola Fact Sheet
I was given the opportunity to compose a one to two page fact sheet based on a news release issued recently by my company I worked with, Coca-Cola. I chose the news release announcing Coca-Cola company launches reusable packaging. I followed proper fact sheet format and determined the WHAT, WHO, WHERE, & WHEN.
Coca-Cola Diversity Presentation Deck
For this assignment, I had the opportunity to conduct research on the Coca-Cola company regarding its diversity and inclusion initiatives, and prepare a 5 to 8 minute oral PowerPoint presentation. This explained the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives, values and missions, and target audience.
Coca-Cola Pitch Letter
For this assignment, I selected a media outlet and appropriate reporter that I would invite to the media briefing I wrote about in my media alert. For the reporter and media outlet, I chose Fredricka Whitfield, an anchor for CNN. I wrote a pitch letter to interest the reporter in covering the media briefing and set up an interview with the reporter and the CEO of Coca-Cola to talk about the subject of of media briefing, its significance and what Coca-Cola hopes to achieve.
Talking Points for Media Briefing
For this assignment, I had the opportunity to participate in a mock media briefing. I acted as Mariah Cash who is taking the position of new CEO and president of First in Ten Investment Inc. With much research, I came up with seven talking points for the mock media briefing held in class.
Coca-Cola OP-ED
For this Op-Ed assignment, I had the opportunity to choose a topic supporting an issue, cause or movement Coca-Cola is involved in, or would be appropriate for my company to speak out on. I chose the issue of climate change and how our global footprint is effecting the world we live in.
Mock Rochester Live Tweet
For my journalism class, I was given the opportunity to write a mock live tweeting event. For the press conference regarding the death of Daniel Prude, I watched and tweeted the important information as it was said.
Kyle Rittenhouse News Story
For my PR class, I had the opportunity to write a mock news story on the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. After analyzing and taking notes on videos, articles, and other information regarding Rittenhouse, I was able to find the necessary sources and important quotes to construct this story.
Travel & Tourism
PR Research
For my PR class, I was assigned a research paper on PR sector of Travel and Tourism. I had the opportunity to put my research skills to the test and learn about the field and the many benefits, disadvantages, and all things travel and tourism PR. I wrote about the many DEI benefits that go along with the travel and tourism PR industry.
Chevron Globalization, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Analysis
For my PR class, I was given the opportunity to practice my research skills and analyze The Chevron Company's globalization, diversity, equity, & inclusions guidelines, efforts, and responsibilities. After much research on "The Chevron Way," I have successfully analyzed Chevron's customs and beliefs.
